2022-23 Board Positions
Need to meet in the next week to determine next year board positions.
Thought is to have less board positions and reach out for support with volunteers on committees.
Odd number of committee members are needed to vote.

Financials
Budget – Al Haber
FOM costs remain steady, regular monthly fees and teacher appreciation
Funding Ask – Principal Danielle Drayton
Costs from last year have exceeded budget as unanticipated invoices occurred after the school year and are rolling over into current budget.
Updated ask is for additional funding to support the Wellness & Sustainability for this school year. Costs are tied to 8 th grade graduation.
Voting to occur during the meetings.
Communications – Roona Shah
Announcements to increase towards the last 6 weeks of the year really focusing on the Benefit
and Walkathon.
Benefit – Stacey Kaplan/Julie Schulhof
Event Date: May 20 th at the Carter (https://thecarterchicago.com/).
Tickets on sale now, about 150 tickets sold but we’re still looking to increase the amount of ticket sold.
Need volunteers for the night of the event where 10 volunteers are needed for 30 minute increments. Nell Kolpin to help with volunteer sign ups.

Roona Shah is leading the sign-up parties where people can reach out if they are looking for ideas.
Looking for additional restaurants and live auction events.

Mom’s Night Event
Pinot’s Palette in Logan Square on April 28 th – 49 Moms signed up.
Ticket price was $50 and encouraged Moms to bring a bottle of wine for the auction.
Dad’s Night Event at Birch Road Cellar – Tacos and Trivia
Current sign-ups are at 25.
Community/Outreach – Sarah Polachek
Juneteenth event being discussed tomorrow with Roona Shah and Sarah Roche. Teachers support having an event.
Walkathon – Jen Jones/Rhyan Sperling/Melissa Herman
Date – June 3 rd
Spirit week to occur that same week.
T-shirt design competition occurring now where they need to be submitted by Friday, 5/6.
Received permit approval to block the road for the day of Walkathon with the course utilizing Clifton.
Student website – GiveSmart used a platform to students to get donations
OPEN POINT: Looking for a dedicated committee to help with tasks and event volunteers.
Sponsorship/Fundraising – Nicki McNair
Focusing on partnerships through the Benefit.
Teacher Appreciation – Sandy Baccam
Special Red Carpet appreciation being done for Friday, 5/6.
Miscellaneous
OPEN POINT: Can we have FOM put up a table after school to highlight the Benefit and Walkathon, including volunteers? Tentative planned for next Friday, 5/13.
School Supplies – Roona Shah/Nicki McNair
Sales to start as soon as the Benefit occurs.
