Starting to fulfill teachers wish list and have spent $5500 so far. Everything is coming to the assigned teacher from Amazon. Al will continue to fullfill the rest of the wish lists but the first big batch will come from Amazon on Monday 11/7.
Jen Jones – Vice Principal
Teacher/FOM lunches are starting next Wednesday 11/9. Jen will be here starting at 11am – 1:05pm and has planned 7 teachers that she is meeting with. Allotment of 30 minutes with each teacher. Goals are trying to get face time and feedback from teachers, their input and opinions on wish lists, what did FOM do well, what can FOM do better at and what are their thoughts on pledge drive. We want to keep them informed on upcoming plans and appreciate their input.
Julie, President/AL, Treasurer – Pledge Drive Information
Meredith Schwartz designed the pledge drive theme and informative Flyer. Colleen Bower is leading the drive and will run November the 9th to December 15th. Goal is $350K, Julie was leaning towards $375 but Al considered us possibly coming in short so best to go with $350K to make it more attainable. Last year Danielle’s budget ask was $418K. We suggest a donation of $1800 per student which is unchanged from years past. Participation goal is 100% of families. Last year participation was 59%. What has the money funded? We need to give the parents tangible items such as picnic tables for outside, so they understand where their donation money is going. FOM is budget relieving for the TOTAL budget. The donations help fulfill the missing piece of the budget and we need to get this across to the families. Danielle has ideas on items we can fund – new sound system, a portable sound system, new marketing materials, bean bags, new furniture for classrooms, floor mats with the Mayer emblem. First email will be sent on Wednesday 11/9 to kick off the drive.
Julie Schulhof - President
The committee efforts are going well and have been completed. Some committees have 8-9 people.
Communications – Roona Shah
544 meals were raised by the Toolbox school supply fundraiser and Mayer received a certificate of appreciation. This was our most successful toolbox fundraiser and we will continue to do it next year.

Vanille and Velocity needs to be added to the FOM website.
School Engagement – Rhyan Sperling
During the September meeting we talked about a monthly school letter and we are now launching that newsletter, 2 staff per month, spotlighting 2 new people each month, questions will be asked by Bulldog Blaze students. The newsletter is a collaboration of FOM and the Bulldog Blaze and can be a way to highlight the student newspaper too. Vision behind the newsletter is to excite and engage the community about the school and its employees. November plan is to put FOM highlights on the bulletin board in Lobby so parents and community can see information during pick and when entering the school. Guided reading library near Ms Solis office being created..sensory space.. more to come.
